1. Who we are
PDFAnvil is developed and licensed by AVRO IT Michał Marczak, Przelotowa 188A, 42-523 Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, VAT ID (NIP): PL6292383961, REGON 363379805 ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
2. The service and who sells it
PDFAnvil is a local-first PDF editor available as a web application, a Chrome extension and a desktop application. Documents are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. An optional account enables paid plans, license management and using your license on several devices.
Who sells and who processes the payment. The seller of PDFAnvil licenses is AVRO IT Michał Marczak (section 1). Purchases are made through a checkout operated by Stripe and are marked "Sold through Link": Sold through Link, LLC, a company affiliated with Stripe ("Link"), acts as the merchant of record and facilitates the sale on our behalf. Link charges your payment method, handles indirect taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) where it is responsible for them, sends you the receipt and handles payment disputes. Link is not the seller of the license, but may be treated as the supplier for indirect tax purposes in some countries. Your purchase is also governed by Link's Sold Through Link Terms, shown to you at checkout.
We grant the software license. These Terms govern your use of PDFAnvil, your account and the license you obtain with a purchase.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid e-mail address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may request deletion of your account at any time by writing to [email protected] from the e-mail address of your account.
4. Plans and license grant
- Free: personal, non-exclusive right to use the basic feature set, with usage limits and a watermark on selected exports.
- Pro (subscription): non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use all features on up to 3 devices for the duration of the subscription.
- Lifetime: non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to use all features on up to 5 devices, including updates we make generally available.
You may not reverse engineer the software except where permitted by law, share or resell license keys, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
5. Prices, payment and invoices
Prices are shown at checkout before you pay; the checkout may display them in your local currency. Whether indirect tax (VAT, sales tax or similar) is charged, and at what rate, depends on your country and the transaction; the final amount, including any tax, is shown at checkout before you pay. The payment methods offered depend on your country and are provided by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
After payment Link sends a receipt to the e-mail address you enter at checkout. Whether a tax invoice is also issued, and what it contains, depends on your country and the transaction.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the link in Link's receipt e-mail, in the PDFAnvil Chrome extension (Account → Manage subscription) or by writing to [email protected]; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Cancellation, refunds and your rights (EU and UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you can cancel your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive access to the product (cooling-off period), as provided in Link's Sold Through Link Terms. Your license is delivered immediately after payment; starting to use it does not shorten this period.
How to cancel: contact Link Customer Support (also linked in your receipt e-mail) and give "cooling off period" as the reason, or write to us at [email protected] — we will pass your request to Link and help with the refund. You may use the model form below (not obligatory).
Money-back guarantee for everyone: regardless of your country, you can request a full refund of a payment within 14 days of that payment, including a subscription renewal, by writing to [email protected] from the e-mail address of your account.
These cancellation and money-back arrangements do not limit your mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for digital content or services that do not conform to the contract.

7. Refunds and chargebacks
Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Link. Link may also decide on refund requests sent to it directly, under its Sold Through Link Terms. When a purchase is refunded in full, the associated license is deactivated. If you open a payment dispute (chargeback) with your bank, the license may be suspended while the dispute is open; it is deactivated if the dispute is decided in your favour and restored if it is decided in ours.
8. Availability and support
Core editing works offline on your device. Account and licensing services are provided with reasonable care but without an uptime guarantee. Support for the software: [email protected]. Questions about a charge, receipt or refund can also be sent to Link through the link in your receipt e-mail.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including our liability for intent or gross negligence.
Consumers: we are liable in accordance with the law applicable to you; this section does not limit your statutory rights, including the conformity rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770.
Business customers: our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) the price you paid for a Lifetime license, if you hold one.
Always keep copies of important documents — the software edits files locally on your device and no software is error-free.
10. Changes to the service and these Terms
Changes to the service. We may change the service only for a valid reason: to comply with the law or a decision of a public authority, to fix security vulnerabilities, to adapt to changes in operating systems, browsers or third-party services the software depends on, or to improve or add features. Changes are made at no additional cost to you, and we will inform you about them clearly. If a change more than minorly and negatively affects your access to or use of the service, we will tell you in advance on a durable medium, and as a consumer you may terminate the contract free of charge within 30 days of the change or of our notice, whichever is later; for a subscription, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for. Features included in a Lifetime license will not be withdrawn, except where required by law or to address a security risk that cannot be fixed otherwise.
Changes to these Terms. We may amend these Terms where necessary to comply with changes in applicable law or to reflect changes to the service permitted under this section. Amendments will be limited to what is necessary for that purpose and will not retrospectively reduce rights already acquired under a paid licence. We will notify account holders by e-mail of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Mandatory rights to reject a change, terminate the contract or obtain a refund remain unaffected.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Polish law; consumers also enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of their country of residence. Link's terms govern the purchase transaction as stated in them.
